Laguna Madre – World Class Fishing
The Laguna Madre, in Port Mansfield is one of the top locations for saltwater fishing. For the fisherman hoping some solitude and world-class fishing, without giving up modern comforts, it does not get any better than this.
Our Laguna Madre fishing trips provide great saltwater fishing opportunities. The primary draw for fisherman is the shallow, clear waters of the Lower Laguna Madre, which runs from the Brazos Santiago Pass, just south of South Padre Island and Port Isabel, to the Kenedy Land Cut some 20 miles north of Port Mansfield. Running along this length, the Lower Laguna Madre varies in width from two to six miles. Throughout the bay, anglers can catch a variety of species such as speckled trout, redfish, black drum, flounder, sheepshead, and snook.
Connecting the Lower Laguna Madre with the Gulf of Mexico is the East Cut. This area draws seasonal species such as kingfish, tarpon, and Spanish mackerel. For those anglers fishing offshore, there is plenty of action for catching red snapper, kingfish, bonito, blackfin tuna, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, and more.
